Start of Chinese Lesson --- Words Recognition

I started to introduce Chinese Lesson about 2 months back to Dan when we have yet to move house. All started with receive of the below series of chinese books 四五快读. It consists of total 7 books. The first 30 pages of the first book explain to parents the effective methods of learning Chinese. It is very importance to read through all pages if you wish to use the series for effective learning.

There is also a session explain the best ways to let your child remember what they have learned and introduce different type of games for the parents to play with your kids to further assist them in remember those words.

The best about the series is that it does not only teach the individual words, children can start learning forming simple sentances after each lesson...and continue with even longer sentances in the next level of books. Below show the result reap after a week of using the book, Level 1 - We have so far at Chapter 3... (Chapter 1 = 16 Words), (Chapter 2 = 8 Words), (Chapter 3 =8 Words), the progress of learning is going a bit slow nowadays as mummy is real busy with house moving....We shall continue soon to affect his momentum of learning...

Questions Asked about Learning from Home

A lot of time, I received questions from mummies and even daddies (colleagues, ex-colleagues or blogger mums) surrounding me on the following:-

1) when/what/how do I start the home learning activities for Dan Dan?

2) where/how do I source/know all the materials needed for such activities?

3) how do I interest him to participate the activities without wondering about?

4) how do I make him memorize all the 26 letters + phonics in such young age?

5) how do I impart the knowledge on other topics like language,math,practical life ...

so on and so on.....

Frankly speaking, to be a responsible/dedicate mum to a child, I have also embarking the journey of home learning myself... The only way to equip myself fully to the field of teaching my Dan is to read, read and read alot...be it from the books (e.g:as attached), blogs (e.g: Fantastic Link in my blog) , forums (Here) and another crucial resource is to ask and ask a lot from all experience/successful cases...heheh....

Sometime I will just felt like leading them to my blog to see what kinds of activities that I always did for Dan since he was young but sadly said.... nothing much can be read from my blog about home learning...reason due to concentration is important during the home activities and I seldom snap photos during the activities otherwise Dan will be losing his focus too....

Nowadays for the sake of uploading, record and sharing some of the home learning ideas, I will try my best to take some photos before/ after each session with Dan and I guess it will be a good keepsake to show Dan on how much mummy wish to have a successful son in the future.
