New House, New Estate!!

Finally the day had arrived!! The long waiting new house keys... Here's I must record down all details of our 1st own house. As usual, we took leave on 10.3.2011, Thursday. In fact, Dada was not being able to take leave due to his working partner's dad passed away and he had to be in the office. However after put up the special request to his superior, the leave is finally approved.... sweat!! We arrived at HDB at almost 10am after sending Dan to school. We had to 1st proceeded to HDB Atrium, Level 2 to get the Fire Insurance Policy for a sum of S$64,600.00 at a premium for 5 years at S$6.98 in cash/nets (inclusive of 7% GST). However this policy is only covers the cost of reinstating the internal areas of the flat as built by HDB which include the following items: - A) Building Structure comprising of floor slabs, internal partition & ceiling B) Doors, Windows and Ventilation Openings C) Water, Gas & Internal Sanitary Fittings, Electrical Wiring & CATV Installation D) Any other item which was provided by HDB as a standard item in the flat.

Therefore we were advised by the officer to purchase a separate Fire Insurance Policy to protect our own personal belongings for the total sum of at a premium for 5years at S$319.60 in cash/nets/credit cards (Inclusive of 7% GST). After we got our flat insured with the fire insurance, we proceeded to the 1st level to obtain a Q number for the 10.10am appointment. Anyway the waiting time was fast. Below show our Q-No-A6130 and yeah our turn on the digital board and not surprising at all, there was loads of document waiting to be signed...anyway the officer is experience enough to handle the whole process swiftly and accurately. and tadah....the long waiting bunch of keys as follow............also the officer mentioned that we are lucky enough to have this leather key pouch as compare to the previous years where only envelopes are available for distribution of keys.... HDB is improving and of course this pouch can ease the process of counting and using rather than envelope whereby you need to search one by one by looking at the tag to look for the key that you want when 1st going to your flat to open the door.

and here we arrived at our new flat... after when to the Suntec IT Fair to get my DSLR... total 17 floors at our new house, the lift is operating but it is still under beautifying process... i guess we are the 1st 5 houses owner to receive the keys for our block, of course we are not lucky..... in fact I wrote in to HDB requesting for early receiving of the keys and my request was approved...the officers are simply too awesome.....

here's the passageway to our unit.....dada already cant wait to walk to our unit.... they are total 6 units at one floor, three at the right side from the lift and 3 at the left. Our unit is the last household where we will pass by 1 unit (our neighbour-young Malay couple with baby-already met them by now) and the other unit (our direct neighbour) (still didn't see any shadow of them-hope will be Chinese family) is opposite of our house.

teng teng teng, here's show our beautiful and solid steel gate and fire proof wooden door by HDB... also the entrance is so much wider as compare to the old generation HDB flats.....it consists of total 3 panels of gate with one main gate and 2 small panels at the side which can open completely if you need to. The unit no is emboss beautifully on the steel gate tooo which i had censored it away for safety n privacy reason..

Photos below showed our 1st time opened the door of our new house..

unblocked view from our living hall and 3 rooms...we are lucky enough for not choosing the block facing other blocks....they are neighbour who wanted to give up the flat just because the block is simply too near to the opposite block Service Yard.... finally with a special area and hanging mechanism for us to hang our clothes rather than sharing with the kitchen and buying the ugly bamboo.. Currently the service yard is an open concept but after the news of the 6 yrs old boy failed to death, we had finally decided to fix the windows at the service yard...on the other hand, it can also prevent the rain water from splashing into the service yard to damage the washing machine or rather wet the floor.... whereby it can cause unnecessary fall (slippery with wet floor) if the floor is not dry up immediately....also it is another safety reason to prevent the break-in issue as our service yard is rather near to the corridor....

Reserve dining area, i like this part as now we have designated area to place our dining table rather than it share with the kitchen or living hall.....love the layout to bit.... here's show passageway to the 3 rooms (MBR at the back-more privacy and minimise noise from the living hall, Danzel's room and entertainment cum guest room)

view of the living hall from the corridor.... Outdoor Rubbish Chute, hopefully no more cockroaches/uninvited guests in the house anymore

Here's where I took the photo from our living hall windows.. In the future, we will know in minute who/when someone is reaching our block in just a glance down from our windows..

It will be the Estate main entrance, just drive straight from the main entrance, it will straight lead the way to our block...... This is the place we reported our "defects" found, they have super service, we had our defects all fixed up by now and the staffs from inside will call and inform that the defects had fixed up..thumb up for them!!
This is the school that we will be facing everydays when we move in, if this is going to be Dan's sec school, it will be super convenient for all of us..... it is just a stone throw away distance from our house... please work hard pupils in this school, we pray hard it can be one of the top Sec in 7-8 years later....hahaha....

Temporary Bus Interchange, beside is the MRT/LRT Station..Dada's already busy study all the buses available right now....

More update will be follow, we had received our 3D artist impression drawings of our new house renovation, also the renovation had started since 8/4/2011. We had purchased/ordered most the things that needed, eg: Window Grills, Customized curtains, Lightings, Basins+Taps+ Toilets Accessories, Kitchen Sink+ Tap, System 4 Inverter Air-Cond, Heaters, whole house lightings, Sofa+Coffee Table, Bed+Mattress, Dining Table, Fridge, 46" LED Tv, washing machine, Rinnai Hob and more.....

Think now only left with Danzel's bed+Mattress, Wardrobe, Books+ Toys Shelfs, small table+chair, curtain... Our entertainment room's sofa bed, study+computer table and chair.... that's all!! The remaining smaller scale items will be like new bedsheets, wok and pots, kettle...... will leave those to the last.... and of course by now.................. WE SIMPLY CANT WAIT TO MOVE INTO OUR NEW HOUSE-NEW ESTATE!!!
