Korea - Jeju, Day 2 - 9 June 12

Day 2, we woke up fresh and young...woohoo!! A real energetic day started with a beautiful resort that we yet to explore further....here's the resort we stayed for 2-nights  and its surrounding. It is one of the peaceful and tranquil resort that I had ever stayed, the added advantage was the beautiful climate in Jeju. We were there in June, therefore it was an early warm spring when everything blooms. The cooling weather elevated and perked up our lighthearten day even more from early in the morning till late night no matter how tired we were.

Here's shown resort lobby, the photo was taken at night, therefore it was after a tiring day that everyone seem to lethegyly head back to the room as swiftly as possible..

Below show the room foyer where we normally watch this in Korea/Jap Drama series, whereby the house owners/guests will change their shoes to home slippers, the uniqueness here was the light will turn-on automatically when it detects any human figures  step into this area and will light-off automatically (aft 1-2 min) whenever you leave this area, an eco-system that impress...hee hee..at least to me..it's power-saving!!

tadah..here's the room for 3 of us...quite spacious...with attach balcony, bath-tub and multi-functional toilet bowl..we called it hightec toilet-bowl....It was where i got my most revenged from being an itchy-hand :p, the water from the toilet-bowl just lauched and sprinklered right to my body  and it doesnt stop even after i rapidly jumped to the side, the toilet bowl water continued shooted toward the opposite wall and wetted all the towels hung on the bar..only because my itchy hand to press 1 unknown (all in Korean Words) button :( haiz ..but afterall this incident has turn into an amusing story-telling whenever we talk about our Korea trip :)

Danzel soaked in his bubble-fun as usual after so much complain of our own house doesnt come with bath-tub, he always find chance soaking in it no matter how tired and late....it's part of his itinerary whenever we stay in hotel.

Some family photos- taken at room-balcony before we proceed to the gathering point at the hotel lobby. I got to know the itinerary at Jeju will be quite rugged and mountainous with lot of up the hill and down the sea hardship...haha... therefore we dressed ourselve as simple as possible..just family-T and my favourite CROCS when come to harsh journey....best part of the shoes, anti-slip and water- resistant :)

Group photos in front of Resort Lobby!
All look spirited and lively awaiting a new challenge of the day ahead!!

Breakfast - we needs something to regenerate ourselve before continue the route...something simple but enticing ? Porridge (Simple) with superb side dishes that can stuffed and hold our hunger us up to lunch?  hahaha...yes that's our breakfast of the day...it came with simple dish as simple as omelette but as a mummy, I love it to bit...at least I know Dan Dan can have something to his liking  and he was able to partake in the meal beside kimchi and more spicy stuffs along the journey......

Next, here we are at the famous Seongsan Ilchulbong also called Sunrise Peak, 城山日出峰。It is one of the volcanic crater where you can read more about it from wikipedia. What we are thinking now upon arriving is whether to conquer the journey up the peak or just stay put and let Danzel try the pony-riding instead.. emm... of course, i cant beat  my inner most competitive feeling with the slogan... i dont believe I cant do it...haha...

Look at the trail leading up to the peak, there were actually lot of people heading up, even an old uncle  in our group, ages about 60-70 also charged all the way with his daughter beside him...
Here, total of 5 got ready to charge.. Char,Mit,Ryan,Hubby and myself...

Said bye bye before going-up and will see you an hour plus later....

This is what we saw at the beginning of the journey...Panoramic and cant imagine how's significant the view will be up at the peak....!! Excited.... and more power to push us forward this time....

After about 35-40 minutes, there are narrow steps leading to the peak at the last quarter of the route therefore more caution needed. The stunning view is awaiting and the cooling weather that made us reluntant to leave after about 5-10  minutes stay at the peak for photography. It is definately worth a hike if Sunrise Peak is in your itinerary.

Here's the volcanic crater view where the lava flown out in 5000 years ago...
Look at that magnificent and astonishing scenic!! Lovely Lovely :)

Suddenly hubby overtook me from behind and fasten his steps downward, I was shocked thought what was happen? then I realised he dashed and choped the beautiful spot then shouted me a far to take his photo. First in rare time I saw him so passionate in taking photo:) cute :_p
Next, we proceed to one of the Jeju's signature sweet dish -  famous fruits chocalate, one of the cant-be-miss souvinier from Jeju.

Our young-look and pretty Local Tour Guide - Jing Jie.. She is coming to 60-yrs-old but please look at the flawless complexion that she has - according to her, product of Korean Ginseng!!

Jeju Black Pig , the domestic pig  found majority at Jeju. The Jeju Black Pig is said to have a unique taste quite distinct from other breeds of pig and forms the basis of some well-known local dishes. Therefore, we know for sure what we are going to have on our dinner's table in Jeju.

here's another uniqueness of the Jeju's household gateway where the local called it Jeongnang (3 wooden logs instead of a gate), The island prides itself on Sammu, meaning-there's no thief, gate or beggar in Jeju  (The 3-non existance) , so it is local tradition to use jeongnang instead of any form of gates, highly confidence in the safety of Jeju.

Here's the meaning if anyone wish to pay a visit:-
(but of course, with the technology now, we try call or apps to  make
sure someone at home before pay a visit :)

All three logs removed means, Welcome.
One log in place means, Returning soon.
Two logs in place means, Gone for a while.
All three logs in place means, Gone all day.

After the visit to this traditional huts and purchase 1 bottle of honey (regret for only buy 1). I had it almost completed throughout the journey, where i tried to make some honey drinks for the everyone when we were back at hotel, especially to the kids after having all day BBQ,Pan-fried,grilled meaty stuffs which is quite heaty.

Below eating house - where we had our lunch after a drained hiking in the morning. Just see the menu in below, the not to be missed dish in Jeju - Grilled unfrozen Black Pork but we were not having that for lunch.

Look at the amount of people in this eating house, this contributed to nasty & hostile service we received from the Ajumma. We got bang and shout by obstructed them from warlike table cleaning & setting-up, one of the worst restaurant services that ever rendered. If this happen in Singapore, the restaurant will either get mountains of complains letter or they will be stomped to closure- that's the power of Singapore's netizens!

There are two parts of this area, one side is totally seated on the chairs another side is where they have to remove their shoes and having floor-seating arrangement..

Yummy Yummy!!!!
After refuelled, here ATV awaiting!! something totally new to us hee hee...but best part of all of course not the mechanism that attract all the beauty but the attractive hunks in there that melted the heart hahahha...there was one good-looking, well-dressed and clean-cut man stood right at the counter that stunned us a fair bit upon our arrival but we were quickily put-off after receiving a cold shoulder from his unfriendly expression..cheh, what was there to be so arrogant about...haha...

At the changing area, we were so hesitant and dishearted the moment we knew that we have to change into the following attires, the overall from helmets to blouses to pants to boots were simply unmatched and odd. The girls (we) made all the grumble and protest but still the following shown :( hahah...but luckily shown the one without their long pants! We cant bring along our camera in there, therefore this was taken before we entered the battlefield...
It was a piece of cake from driving the ATV, even for those without driving license, you can handle them with ease but disadvantage is the dust... It is very dusty and we were dusted from top to toe and our exposed skin was covered with layer of grey dust after the ride.

Next, we proceed to Jusangjeollidae, Daepo Columnar Jointed Lave to view the 25m high laval formation stretch along south coast.Through erosion, the exterior is well exposed and as they are close together they look like an elaborate work of sculpture which really captivating especially when there is big wave splash towards the cliff.

Phenomenal Scenic where we normally saw it on TV or Magazine only. We were actually experienced and saw it ourselves!! A deep blue ocean that refreshed us with the sea breeze..

Unique Seashell!

Here's the Lotte Hotel and it beautiful surronding blending well with the windmill and tranquilize garden that will definately sooth your stress away for that freeze minutes you are there~~ We slowed down our walking pace, enjoyed every glimpse of landscaping before we were led into Lotte Hotel for toilet-break!

By the way, there is a small Casino in the hotel serving very aromatic coffee for FREE. Tour guide brought us in and we had a good leg-stretching at the cushy sofas with cup of our free coffee..wow, life couldn't be more luxuriate and relish!

Last, we were going to Seonimgyo Bridge, it is an arch bridge over Cheonjeyeon Waterfall that has seven nymphs (female goddess) carved on both sides of the bridges. We were supposed to visit Cheonjeyeon Waterfall according to the itenerary too but guess everyone was too tired to venture further as we need to actually walk down via the eneven hills and etc... anyway we gave up the idea. We were roaming just around the bridge and since nothing much can be done there, we came out with a silly idea to have a group jump photgraphy!

The scenic from the bridge!

here's the jump fanatic started!!

In fact beside the following 2 photos, we had even more terrfying photos captured which put all of us to great laughed! I guess this is the best moment of everyone laughing away with joy and excitedness being together in this trip.

Tadah, finally here's the dinner time after a whole hectic day prior to this. We had Seafood Casserrole (in short Steamboat)

woo....yummy yummy!!!
