Korea, Day 4 - 11 June 2012

We checked into Hanwha Resort, the resort that fully equipped with kitchen, 2 bedrooms (with one Queen Size bed and 1 tatami style room), balcony. With so much to describe then I realised I didn't take the photo of the room as I only took one video which is too long to be uploaded here! We arrived quite late the night before and here we were again fresh awoke and energized! The resort included breakfast for us.

Over-looking the whole area!
Next after breakfast, first and the main attraction of the day -

Seoraksan 雪嶽山is the third highest mountain in South Korea. The most attractive season whole year round in this area will be during Autumn season. The red and yellow leaves that is interrupted by rocks and small mountain streams flow amidst this and i guess the weather will ideal and soothing to walk around the park too.

There are few attractions as follow that tourists will pass-by as you explore deeper into the park..

-Seoraksan National Park Entrance

-Bronze Buddha of Sinheungsa (Buddhist Temple)

-Sinheungsa (Buddhist Temple) in Seoraksan National Park

-Biryong (Flying Dragon) Waterfalls in Seoraksan National Park.

-Cheondang Waterfall

-Ulsanbawi (peak) in Seoraksan National Park

The scenery outside the entrance is already so captivating that it slower down the tempo of the visit. Everyone was so reluctantly leaving the wide and green piece of scenic in front of our eyes, the air was simply refreshing and invigorating! As if we were purified and regenerated after a long city life style that we had all this while. Green is always healthier choice!

My cool boy!

Look at the whole area map that shown below, i am wondering how long does we need to take to cover the whole area. No wonder the trekking lovers heart to have mount hiking all the way up to Ulsanbawi (The Peak)!
Seoraksan National Park Entrance! Asiatic black bear - one of the protected wildlife as natural treasure beside some other animal like musk deer and flying squirrel.. Our tour GROUP photo chosen to be taken here since it is the National Park Entrance!

Look at the stunning & breath-taking scenic below, how can one not to miss this place! Imagine all in Red & Yellow (Autumn) or ALL White (Winter) that's is why our tour guide recommended us to return again in difference season of the year and ..... we shall see!

Even Dan enjoyed to be there, look at the bright and happy mood he had, he danced and run about the place rapidly!

Our honey moon in group trip! Hahhah..

Very nice architecture that I guess we don't see this in Singapore
Here we arrived at the Bronze Buddha of Sinheungsa 新 興 寺 -
The Great Unification Buddha, a 14.6-meter, 108 ton gilt-bronze Buddha statue, called "Tongil Daebul", sits atop a 4.3-meter  high pedestal, of the same material, making the total height 18.9-meter.

Here's the stone piece for tourists making wishes!

Scroll down the photo swiftly to discover Danzel in running motion!!

Few leaves turned yellow...Autumn is coming soon~~
Sinheungsa (Buddhist Temple) is a head temple of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism . It is situated on the slopes of Seoraksan in Sokcho , Gangwon Province , South Korea . As we walked deeper into Seorakan National Park, the temple is just right in front of us. Few of us were happy to see the temple as it was time that they need to visit the loo...hee hee

stacking rocks...quite cute!!
After a good whole morning walk in the park,  we proceed to Daepor Harbour for some fresh seafood and their local snacks. Here we discovered rare underwater species where we don't usually see it in Singapore's fish market.

Model Crabs - Long 8 Legged!! with beautiful latest spring/summer color series fashion, what's a vibrant color!haha...
Not so sure what is the following item but captivated by it bright and sharp color.. It's so colorful that you are not sure whether to eat it or not to eat it as it might added with coloring agent.haha
I know they are fishes by guessing base on their shape and I saw their eyes... not sure how it's swim and survive as they are as thin as or slightly better than a piece of paper. Guess they are just floating though!
from the skinniest to fattest Ikan Bilis!!

Korea's Squid- First time see squid swims! Are you thinking of Fried Calamari Now ? hee hee
Big Fat Octopus with 8 Fat Tentacles

Even tour guide carried him!

Some local snacks along the way..must try and not to be missed as we don't come back for 2nd time!!

Next we took the unique ferry, the earliest mode of ferry with large flat bottomed which uses manpower and muscle to send the ferry back and forth. Of course i didnt come across this type of ferry in my 30++ yrs life and as expected i was attract to it uniqueness...haha beside fun, we were learning something new!

Some of our tour member tried the pulling with the S hook. It looks simple and hassle free.. I didnt manage to try as the boatman did not sound friendly and we better took the ride quietly and enjoyed the mild breeze along the way.

emm, left the three beauties waiting patiently in the bus
Finally it was lunch time, we knew we had to eat more for the day because we were going to play with water for the rest of the day after lunch.

Toufu soup based!
After lunch, we proceed directly to Seorak Waterpia. This leisure water theme park is conveniently located less than 15min walk from Hanwha Resort. It spread into 2 categories with Theme pool and Spa. There are total 3 different pool which is General Pool (Waves Pool, Solar Room, Stream Pool and Standard Pool), Junior Pool (Children's Pool, Babies Pool), Theme Zone (Sun Bed Zone, Parasol Zone, Rafting Slider and Family Garden), with all the  mentioned above, we only managed to dip Danzel into Indoor Babies Pool as it was so freeze with strong wind the moment we stepped outdoor. That's is why the hot springs are so welcoming ..

Next, we have Spa (the best sections to all the beautiful ladies :) There are again another 3 types of Spa, Spa Ville (Mushroom Bath, Prickle Bath, Aqua Pocket, Este Bath (44degreeC), Jagguji, Spa Bath), secondly, they have Leisure Spa (The Stem of Watch Bath, Lovers Bath, Cave Bath, A Hot Pack Room with a Rocks, Event Bath, Fall Bath and Rock Bath), Lastly is Hot Spring/Sauna where the ladies (us) spent the most of our time modelling around with our naked body.We tried bubbles bath, raindrops bath, prickle bath, outdoor bath, wood bath, supersonic bath and highlight of the day - THE WHOLE BODY SCRUB SESSION!! The BEST PART OF ALL and all ladies MUST TRY!!!

With all the mention above, I guess it is best to stay up for few days over at Seoraksan to enjoy and experience the best of every parts of Waterpia... It is never enough to have such indescribable feeling to try every single hot spring with different temperature under the cooling weather. I would feel that the feeling is even better than we deep into cold water during the hot day. A rule to be in there, swimming cap is a must! Hygiene Purposes!

Tour guide mentioned that we can walk our way back to the resort after we had done in the waterpia. Look at the huge Hanwha Resort at Seorak which own about 800++ rooms within the resort.

We rested at the resort before dinner time. It was such a satisfaction day although all our tummy already groaned hungrily. We cant wait for our dinner....

Tadah, healthy dinner....look like vegetable's steamboat session!! but we had blast!!
Good Night!!
